The Anglican Church in America (ACA) has voted to reunite with The Anglican Catholic Church (ACC). A Special General Synod of the ACA was convened at Charleston, South Carolina during the week of October 13, 2025 for the purpose of rejoining the ACC, a jurisdiction from which it separated in 1991. The ACA voted unanimously in all three houses of the jurisdiction (Bishops, Clergy and Laity) to reverse a schism that has lasted for thirty-four years. Concurrently, the ACC unanimously voted to amend the canons to accept the dioceses of the ACA as constituent dioceses. The reunification of the ACA and the ACC, which shall be known as The Anglican Catholic Church, will be led by The Most Reverend Mark Haverland, Archbishop and Metropolitan of the Anglican Catholic Church.
